Amanda Stylianou PhD, LCSW

Dr. Stylianou is a national leader in the behavioral health field. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has spent the last two decades working in the field of behavioral health and addictions treatment across a variety of level of care facilities.

She serves as the Director of Quality Improvement at Rutgers Health. She oversees the quality and patient safety committee, and is responsible for conducting a peer review psychological autopsy whenever there is a client death by suicide, homicide, or suspicious circumstances.

She is responsible for ensuring consistencies in the standard of practice across the clinical settings and ensuring that practices align with the standards put forward by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, and State Divisions of Health.

Dr. Stylianou is affiliated faculty with the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Department of Psychiatry, the Rutgers School of Social Work, the University of Southern California’s School of social work, and Yeshiva University’s School of Social Work where she provides teaching and consultation to medical fellows and residents and doctoral and master level social work students.
